The art of glass working in Venice dates back for centuries, it was one of the most lucrative businesses of the Venetian Republic. We take our students into the lab of a Venetian couple – Alberto & Paola – who set up their own business and produce handmade glass pieces. Accompanied by a teacher, students first observe Alberto and Paola at work and can then try to create their own unique glass piece, all the while practicing the language.
Hands-on lesson: students are given a unique chance to get into the hot seat and produce their own glass souvenir…very much made in Venice!
